A little boy was excited when he learned that he was soon going to have a baby brother. He spent every day imagining how he would play with his baby brother when he arrived. On several mornings, the little boy would hold his mother's tummy and say how excited and ready he was to receive his little brother.
Then, one evening, he asked his mother, "Mummy, where was I before I was born?"
His mother's face lit up with a warm smile.
"Ah, sweetie, that's a great question!" she replied. "Before you were born, you were with God in Heaven. And then when I met and married your father, God blessed us and put you in my tummy just like He has blessed us with your baby brother here."
She gently stroked her belly, where the baby brother was growing.
The little boy's eyes widened with wonder, his small hands reaching out to touch his mother's belly.
"Oh yes, my little boy!" his mother said. "And God formed every bit of you with His loving hands, just like He has done with your baby brother."
As the little boy held his mother's belly, he could feel the baby brother moving around inside. His eyes sparkled with excitement.
"See, Mummy, I can feel that he is moving up and down!" he exclaimed.
His mother smiled together with him, her eyes shining with joy. "Yes he is! Let us pray together, shall we?" she asked.
They held their hands together, and the mother began to pray:
"Dear God, thank you for creating us with your loving hands." The little boy repeated after his mother.
"Thank you that even before we were born, you knew us,"
"We pray that we shall always be thankful to you for our lives,"
"We also thank you for this baby brother in my belly," she said, her hand on her stomach.
"May he come out of my belly safely and may he grow up to be strong and wonderful, in the name of Jesus, Amen."
"Amen," the little boy said, his small voice filled with conviction as he went on to hug his mother.
The End!
