Maya was excited for Digital Space Day.

This was a day when her parents allowed her to use her tablet to play games and use the home computer to become more familiar with typing words, creating folders, and saving documents, among other lessons.

On the first Digital Space Day, Maya was able to type the word "cat."

She was so excited to see the word come to life on the screen. On the second Digital Space Day, she was able to type four words: dad, mum, baby, and dog.

On the third Digital Space Day, she was taught how to print. Seeing her words on the paper from the printer was even more exciting, and it made her look forward to that particular day of the week even more.

As her excitement grew, so did her ambition.

She wanted to type as fast as her daddy.

She kept saying, "I am going to be typing as fast as Daddy!"

Her mother, not wanting to discourage her, allowed her imagination to carry on.

On the fourth Digital Space Day, Maya was so focused on typing like her father that she couldn't type more than two letters. By trying to type at his speed, she ended up misspelling everything.

Seeing her disappointment, her father asked her to take a break and took her out for a walk. Feeling a gentle breeze, Maya started the conversation. "Daddy, why can't I type as fast as you?"

Her father, holding her hand as they walked through the compound, responded, "My dear girl, it has taken me so much practice to type as fast as I do now."

"The first time I tried to type, I was as slow as a snail!" they both laughed at this.

"Are you sure, Daddy, or are you just joking?" Maya asked.

"I am very sure, my princess. It takes time and practice to get faster at typing. The more you do it, the better you'll get. And one day, you might even end up typing faster than me! So just keep at it, and before you know it, you will be very good." Daddy responded.

"Thank you, Daddy. I will keep practicing until I get better," Maya replied.

"Now, let’s run and see who enters the house first!" her father said.

Maya ran faster and left her father behind.

He smiled, watching her run, and followed after her.

The End!
