One morning, two little sisters, Beli and Eda, woke up feeling sick. They both had high fevers and didn't feel like playing.

"Mummy, I don't feel very well," said Beli, the older sister, as she got out of bed

"Mummy, I also feel very hot," Eda added.

Their mother felt their foreheads and said, "Sorry, my little girls. You both have high fevers. Let's try to eat something and then go see the doctor."

At their small dining table, Mummy had prepared bread and tea for them. But after a few bites and sips, they started to feel strange in their tummies.

Beli was the first to feel like something was coming back up, and then she vomited. Eda did the same thing a few seconds later.

Not sure what was happening, Eda started crying.

Mummy rushed to help them. "Its okay, my little girls. You vomited because you're sick. Sometimes when our bodies are fighting off germs, they try to get rid of the bad stuff by vomiting."

The girls were scared, but Mummy reassured them. They cleaned up and headed to the hospital. Daddy drove the car while the two little girls sat in the backseat, resting their heads on Mummy's lap.

At the hospital, they met Doctor Corlet, a kind and tall doctor with a long white coat.

"Hello, little girls," Doctor Corlet said. "What seems to be the problem?"

Beli explained, "We're not feeling too well, and we vomited our breakfast."

Doctor Corlet smiled and said, "Sorry, girls. Let me check you to see what's making you feel bad."

She felt their throats and stomachs, and then she got out a special tool shaped like the letter Y. She placed the earpieces in her ears and put the round chest piece on the little girls' chests and backs.

Eda asked, "Doctor, why do you have very big earphones?"

She smiled and explained, "This is actually called a... steth-o-scope." She said the word slowly, helping the girls learn it. "And you're right, it does work like earphones. But instead of listening to music, it helps me hear the beating of your heart."

The girls were amazed as they learnt this.

After some more tests, Doctor Corlet discovered that the girls had a bacterial infection. She gave them some medicine to feel better.

Back at home, Daddy asked them to pray together.

"Dear God, thank you for the gift of life and for bringing us to Doctor Corlet, who gave us medicine to feel better. We ask you to heal Beli and Eda as they take their medicine that they may feel completely better, in Jesus' name, Amen."

The girls took their medicine and soon started to feel better.
