The last toy truck was neatly in its box, and the last book stood upright on the shelf. Jozen stepped back and was happy with his organized room. It was neat and clean, and he had done it all by himself while his little brother slept.
"Jozen," his father's calm voice called from the doorway. "I am proud of you!"
Jozen smiled as he heard his father's words. "You've done an amazing job cleaning your room all by yourself, even before we asked you to!" his father exclaimed. "And you did it quietly, so your little brother could keep sleeping. Good job, son!"
Jozen had heard those words before, usually after doing something special like helping his little brother get ready for bed and singing him a lullaby.
But this time, Jozen was curious. "Daddy, what does it really mean when you say, 'I am proud of you'?" he asked.
His father's face lit up with a warm smile. "When I say 'I am proud of you,' it means I'm really happy with something you've done. It's like my heart is filled with joy and love for you for what you have done."
Jozen's face lit up with a big smile.
His father continued, "Like today, it's not just about the clean room. It's about seeing you grow into someone responsible, who takes care of your things. That is very wonderful to see!"
Jozen finally understood what his father meant. "Thank you, Daddy!" he whispered, feeling a wave of warmth wash over him.
His father smiled back and continued, "So, always remember these moments, Jozen. Whenever you hear me say, 'I am proud of you,' I want you to keep up the good work. You understand that?"
Jozen nodded eagerly, taking his father's words to heart.
The End!
