The little girl's heart was racing as she looked at the unwelcome guest running across the living room floor. A big, brown cockroach was making its way around the furniture. She had promised herself that she would be brave the next time she saw a cockroach, but her fear was getting the better of her.

"Daddyyyyyy!" she screamed, her voice trembling with fear. "There's a big cockroach!"

Her father rushed to her side, a reassuring smile on his face. With a quick spray of insect spray, the cockroach was gone. The little girl breathed a sigh of relief, but her fear was still there.

"Daddy, will I ever stop being afraid of cockroaches?" she asked, her big brown eyes looking up at her father with concern.

"Oh yes, you will!" her father replied, his voice filled with encouragement. He sat down beside her and pulled out his phone. "Let me show you something," he said.

The little girl nodded, curiosity getting the better of her fear. Her father pressed play, and a video began to play. It was a clip of the little girl when she was just learning to walk. She was standing up, holding onto furniture for support, and taking small steps. Her parents' cheers and applause filled the background as she took her first small steps.

"Do you remember when you were afraid to walk by yourself?" her father asked, smiling at the memory.

The little girl nodded, a small smile on her face. "But look at you now," her father continued. "You can walk and run all by yourself. You're not afraid anymore!"

The little girl thought about this for a moment. She realized that she had overcome her fear of walking, and maybe, just maybe, she could overcome her fear of cockroaches too.

"Whenever you remember the things that used to scare you, but don't anymore, you realize that you're stronger than you think," the father said, wrapping his arms around his little girl in a warm hug.

"And it's not just because of your own strength, but because of the power of God working in you. He will give you the courage to stop being afraid, one step at a time."
