By this time, they had arrived home. After they had all freshened up and were in their pajamas, the father invited his little girl to sit with him on the couch.

"Princess," he began, "you know how we saw some bad behavior today? I want you to know that Mommy and I will always do our best to keep you safe from harm."

The little girl's face relaxed, and she let out a sigh of relief. Her father's words of assurance wrapped around her like a warm hug. She felt safe and protected in his presence.

Next, the father suggested they pray together. They all held their hands together, and they bowed their heads.

"Dear God, we know there are bad people in the world," he prayed. "Please keep us safe, protect us, and watch over us. Help us to always remember the good things in our lives and to focus on those. In Jesus' name, Amen."

"Amen," the little girl echoed, feeling a sense of peace settle over her. She looked up at her father with shining eyes, grateful for his love and guidance.

Together, mummy and daddy took their little girl to her bed and sung a lullaby for her.

As she snuggled into bed, wrapped in her beloved princess blanket, the little girl's thoughts drifted back to the good things in her life. She thought about her loving family, her fun-filled day with her cousins, and grandma’s biscuits.

And slowly, she drifted off to sleep, surrounded by the love and protection of her family.
