After spending the entire Sunday afternoon at the zoo, marveling at the various animals, a little boy couldn't contain his gratitude towards his parents for taking him on the outing.
As they embarked on their journey back home, he suddenly asked, "Where do people come from?"
His parents were mildly amazed by the question, which seemed to come out of nowhere. They realized that this was an excellent opportunity to share the story of creation with their curious little boy.
"Let me tell you a story," his mother began. "A very long time ago, the earth was empty as there was no one living on it. Then God created the first man. His name was Adam."
The little boy's eyes widened in surprise. "You mean Adam, my friend from school?" he asked.
His mother chuckled. "No, not your school friend Adam. He just shares the same name as the first man created by God."
She continued the story. "After God created Adam, he lived on earth alone and felt quite lonely. So, God created a wife for him, the first woman to walk on earth, named Eve."
The little boy thought for a moment before asking. "Where did Adam and Eve live?"
"Excellent question!" his mother exclaimed. "Adam and Eve lived in a beautiful garden called the Garden of Eden, where they had everything they needed."
The little boy's face lit up with excitement. "Were they camping?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.
His mother smiled. "You could say that."
As they got home, she added, "As you grow up, you may hear different explanations about where people came from, whether in school or on TV shows. But for now, we want you to trust us and believe with us that the first people were created by God and were named Adam and Eve."
The little boy nodded, seeming to absorb the story. "Okay, Mum."
His mother smiled, hugging him tightly. "And as you grow up, we hope to be good examples for you to continue believing in the Bible as we do. We love you very much”
