As they strolled through the mall on February 14th, two little sisters couldn't help but notice the abundance of red heart decorations and balloons.
"Daddy, why are there so many red hearts everywhere?" they asked in unison.
Their father smiled. "Today is Valentine's Day, girls. I'll tell you more about it when we meet Mommy at our favorite restaurant."
As they walked, Daddy stopped to buy a beautiful bouquet of red roses. The girls' eyes widened with excitement. "Are those for us?" they asked.
Daddy chuckled. "Some are, but most are for Mommy." He handed each girl a rose, and they beamed with delight.
At the restaurant, Daddy presented Mommy with the beautiful bouquet and hugged her tight. "I love you so much, honey."
Mommy's face lit up. "Thank you, Papa Bear!" The girls giggled, showing off their own roses. "Look, Mommy, Daddy gave us flowers too!"
As they sat down, Daddy explained, "Valentine's Day is a day where people celebrate love and kindness towards one another. That's why we see so many red hearts everywhere. And that is why we have also come here to celebrate our love as a family."
The girls nodded, taking it all in.
“Remember, it is God that teaches us how to love. So, let us pray together.” Daddy asked all of them to join hands for a prayer.
"Dear God, thank you for our family and the love we share. Teach us to love and care for one another like the way want us to. In Jesus' name, Amen."
The family all said together, "Amen."
