A little girl loved her maroon umbrella. It was a special gift, and she treasured it greatly. One rainy morning, as they were leaving the house, she asked her mother if she could carry her beloved umbrella.
“Yes you can use it,” her mother said. “Just make sure to take good care of it.”
“Oh yes I will! It is my favorite umbrella!” the little girl said.
They both went out and waited at the taxi stop for a taxi. The little girl was using her maroon umbrella and her mother was using a black umbrella. The little girl beamed with joy as her umbrella kept the rain away from her.
When the taxi arrived, they closed their umbrellas and got in.
As they went on their journey, the rain stopped. By the time they reached where they were going, the sun had already come out. In their haste to get out of the taxi, both the little girl and her mother forgot their umbrellas.
They spent the day together, returning home in the evening, without remembering their forgotten umbrellas.
Days passed, and another rainy morning arrived.
“Let me get our umbrellas.” The little girl said to her mother.
“Okay little princess.” The mother replied.
However, when she went to the usual spot, they were nowhere to be found. It wasn't until she asked her mother that they both realized they had left the umbrellas in the taxi.
Disappointed, they waited for the rain to stop before venturing out, which made them late. That evening, while passing a supermarket, they bought two new umbrellas.
The little girl had an amazing idea.
"Mommy, let's attach long ribbons to our umbrellas, so we can tie them to our wrists when we're in a taxi. That way, we'll never forget them again!"
Her mother was impressed. "That's a brilliant idea, princess! You've helped us solve a big problem."
When they got back home, they started on the ribbon project for the umbrellas. From that day on, they never forgot their umbrellas in the taxi ever again.
The End.
