Jozen and his little brother's eyes lit up with excitement as they exclaimed, "Woooooow!" when Mummy handed them their cool new green sunglasses.
"Thank you, Mummy!" The little brothers said together.
That afternoon, they had discovered the perfect game: becoming rock stars! With their imaginary guitars in hand, they started rocking out.
"Are you ready to rock?" Jozen asked his mother, who was now their audience.
"Yes," Mummy replied with a smile.
"I can't hear you!" Jozen said while smiling. "Are you ready to rock?"
"YES!" Mummy responded louder, matching Jozen's energy.
Just then, Jozen's little brother ran over to the box in the living room, grabbed his blue cap, and put it on backwards. The band was ready!
"Rock star! I'm gonna be a rock star!" the little boys sang this over and over, strumming their imaginary guitars.
The living room was filled with music and laughter. Before long, Mummy joined in, strumming her own air guitar.
The band's loud performance soon spilled out of the living room, catching Daddy's attention who was in the bedroom. He came out to investigate the commotion.
"What's going on here?" he asked.
"We're rock stars, Daddy!" Jozen exclaimed, with a big smile on his face.
Daddy looked around, then disappeared back into the bedroom without a word.
"Maybe we were too loud for Daddy," Jozen said, looking concerned.
But before anyone could respond, Daddy reappeared, wearing his sunglasses as well and ready to rock! With his imaginary guitar, he was also ready to join the band.
The little brothers jumped up in excitement, and Jozen took the lead:
"Rock star! I'm gonna be a rock star!"
The whole family rocked out together, lost in the joy of the moment.
As the family band finished their performance, they all cheered and hugged each other, smiling from ear to ear. In that moment, they realized that the best music wasn't coming from their imaginary guitars, but from the laughter and love they shared as a family.
Sometimes, all it takes is a little creativity and imagination to turn ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
