One sunny morning, a confident 5-year-old girl approached her father with a request.

"Daddy, I think I am ready to sit at the big dining table with you and Mummy." She said.

She had been eating her food from her small table and chair until then.

Her father smiled and gently explained, "You might be a bit too small for the big dining chair just yet. You might not be able to eat comfortably."

But the little girl was determined to prove herself. She quickly climbed onto the chair and sat down, beaming with pride.

"See, Daddy? I can sit on the chair all by myself!"

Her father chuckled and said, "You can sit on the chair just fine, but eating at the dining table is a whole different story."

With a smile, the little girl demonstrated how she would eat at the big table, using her hands to act out holding a utensil and bringing food to her mouth.

"'Easy peasy!' she exclaimed, her smile making her father laugh once more."

The father, seeing a chance to teach a lesson, asked her to stay put while he prepared a bowl of chicken soup in the kitchen.

"Okay, little princess, try eating this soup!" he said.

As she leaned in to take her first spoonful of soup, she realized the table was too high, and the spoon was unsteady, threatening to spill. Despite her confidence, the soup spilled. It suddenly made sense to her.

As they cleaned up, her father said, "You are now able to sit on the dinning chair which is great, but you are not yet ready to use it. It is the same way you are now able to walk, but you are not ready to go across the road by yourself"

The little girl nodded in understanding, and her father continued, "Don't worry, sweetie. You are growing every day, and soon you will be big enough to sit and enjoy your meals at the big dining table!"

The End!
