Swish!

The banana peels were tossed carelessly out of the car window that was in front of them, flying briefly in the wind before dropping to the ground.

The little boy's eyes widened in surprise as he went ahead to ask his father. “Daddy, should we throw banana peels out of car windows like that?”

His father smiled and said, "No, son, we shouldn't throw banana peels out of car windows. Do you know why?"

The little boy thought for a moment, “Is it because they can hit someone’s face?”

His father chuckled at the response. "Well, that's possible, but that's not the only reason." He went on to explain, "Imagine what would happen if everyone threw rubbish out of their cars. What do you think would happen?"

“The entire road would be full or rubbish!” the little boy exclaimed.

"Correct!" his father exclaimed. "Now, imagine how terrible the smell would be."

"Owwwww!" the little boy exclaimed, wrinkling his nose at the thought. "It would be so stinky everywhere!" He remembered the stinky smell of their rubbish bags at home when they were full.

"Correct!" the father said. "So, that's why I always say rubbish belongs in trash cans or bags. This way, we make sure that our places are clean and beautiful and not stinky.”

"So, Daddy, why did those people throw banana peels out of their car window?" the little boy asked, looking puzzled.

"I'm not sure why they did that," the father replied, "but it has helped us learn an important lesson. Whenever we are eating in the car, the best thing to do is to hold onto our trash until we get home or find a bin so that we can put the rubbish where it belongs."

The little boy nodded in agreement, and from that day on, he made sure to always put rubbish where it belonged - in the trash can.
