One night, a little girl screamed out for her mother at the top of her lungs. "Mummy! Mummy! Mummy!"

Her mother rushed to her room and wrapped her arms around her. "It's okay, little princess," she said softly. "Mummy is here."

The little girl held her mother tightly and explained, "I had a scary dream."

Her mother continued to comfort her, saying, "It's okay, sweetie. You're safe now."

After a few minutes, the little girl had calmed down and began to tell her mother about the scary dream. "I don't want to sleep again," she said, her voice shaking. "What if I have the scary dream again?"

Her mother held her quietly for a moment before asking, "How's your scar doing?" She was referring to the scar on the little girl's left foot from when she fell off her pink bicycle while learning to ride.

The little girl answered confidently, "It’s okay now, Mummy. It doesn't hurt anymore!"

Her mother smiled and said, "That's great! And you are doing so well with your bicycle now. I'm glad you did not give up after that fall."

The little girl smiled as she heard these words from her mother. "Now I'm a pro!" she exclaimed.

Her mother chuckled and asked, "Where did you learn that word, 'pro'?"

The little girl grinned mischievously. "From Daddy! He said I was a pro when I started riding my bicycle better."

Her mother smiled and explained, "Being a pro at something means you're very good at it. And you, little princess, are definitely a pro at riding your bike!"

The little girl smiled, feeling happy and proud.

Her mother continued, "Just like you didn't give up on learning to ride your bike, you can't let a scary dream stop you from sleeping. You are a brave girl."

The little girl looked up at her mother with big eyes. "But Mummy, what if I have the scary dream again?" she asked slowly.

Her mother replied, "You'll become even braver! You're a strong and brave little girl, and you can't let a scary dream make you afraid of sleeping."

The little girl nodded, feeling a sense of determination.

Her mother asked, "Would you like to pray with me?"

The little girl nodded again, and her mother took her hands.

Together, they prayed, "Dear God, thank you for the gift of sleep. When we sleep we are able to rest our bodies and grow. Keep us safe as we sleep. Let us not have any scary dreams. And may we be brave knowing that you are always watching over us. In the name of Jesus, Amen"

The little girl repeated "Amen" softly, feeling a sense of peace wash over her.

Her mother tucked her back into bed, and she was able to sleep wonderfully till morning.
