The clock on the wall went "Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock".
It seemed to be taking forever to get to 12 o'clock! What was going to happen at 12 o'clock? It was the time the two little girls were going to play with their new tablet until 1 o'clock. They had to wait patiently for the time, and it seemed to be taking forever.
"Mummy, why did you tell us to wait until 12 o'clock to play the tablet?" the younger sister asked her mother.
Her mother gently smiled and said, "By telling you what time something has to be done, we are teaching you that there is a time for everything. Just like how you have a time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there's also a time for play and a time for rest."
The little girls listened to their mother, but their eyes were still fixed on the clock, waiting for the precious time to come.
"As you grow up, you'll see this more," their mother continued. "There will be times when you will be busy with school and homework, and times when you will have holidays and vacations to relax and have fun. There will be times when you will go out with your friends, and times when you will need to be home. Learning to wait and follow a schedule will help you become more responsible."
The little girls nodded.
"This is why we are teaching you how to respect the time for different things now," she said, gently. "This way, you will learn to wait for the right time for something even when it's hard to wait."
The little girls nodded, looking thoughtful as they took in their mother's words. As they looked back at the clock, it was already 12 o'clock!
"Can we play on the tablet now, Mommy?" the younger sister asked, her voice bubbling with excitement.
Their mother smiled. "Yes, girls! It's finally time! Go ahead and have fun!"
The End!
